OOTD: How to Mix Low End and High End Pieces

Last week I announced my new YouTube channel The Fashionista Chronicles I’m doing with my friend Josie. Every Thursday she and I will be brining you a new episode covering topics in fashion, beauty and lifestyle. I decided every Tuesday I’ll do a post on my show makeup and outfit to give you a behind the scenes sneak peek for the current weeks episode.

For this week’s outfit I wanted to show you how to mix and match high end with low-end items and still look good. The dress was actually gifted to me by Josie and I absolutely love it! I’m really into long flowy dresses that give off a boho vibe. This dress is very lightweight with delicate spaghetti straps. Which makes it perfect end of summer attire. The dress is really wide so I added a wide belt to synch my waste and create a nice silhouette. To keep with the whole Boho vibe I stuck with a pair of black flip-flops. I didn’t want to wear heels because I wanted to keep the look simple.

To add some fabulousness to my outfit I paired it my Medina Bib Necklace from Stella and Dot. It retails for $89 but it’s such a beautiful statement piece that I get a lot of use out of.

Eyeshadow: BH Cosmetics Party Girl Palette, Lips: Wet N' Wild Megaslicks Balm Stain, Mascara: 3D Fiber Lash,  Brows: DipBrow Pomade
I hope you like this look as much as I do. If you’d like to see a full makeup tutorial on my beauty channel of this look let me know in the comments below. I’ve got a lot of fall themed looks coming up so stay tuned.
