Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Palette Review & Tutorial

   Ok so you know I love a good palette. I get a lot of pretty colors in one place and can come up with several looks. When Too Faced came out with their Peanut Butter and Jelly palette I ran my happy butt over to Ulta to swatch away! The colors swatched really well and the smell was kinda cool so I grabbed it for $35.

   Ulta really knows how to get a girl to spend some money because on display right along with the palette was the new Too Faced La Matte Color Drenched matte lipstick. So of course I snatched one up in Man-eater. It’s a really dark maroon color that goes on smooth. Man-eater is a beautiful color perfect for fall and winter but I plan on rocking it right now! Because you know… there are no rules in makeup.

   Ok now back to the palette itself. It comes with a mirror and instruction booklet. The booklet has 3 looks with 3 steps for an easy to create look.

   The first look is called Soft and Sweet. For this look you use the first row of colors. (from left to right) Spread the Love, Peanut Butter and Peanut Butter Cup. This row has nice colors but I found them to be a little chalky. As with most shadows they work really well with a primer.

   The second look is called Rich and Creamy. This is actually the look I’m wearing in the picture above. I did a full tutorial on my YouTube channel. For the Rich and Creamy look you’ve got the colors (from left to right) Bananas, Peanut Brittle and Jammin’). I’m pretty sure this is my favorite row. The colors are really pigmented and are perfect for my skin tone.

   The third and final look is called PB & J which is kinda fitting since ya know the name of the palette and all. The colors in this last row are (top to bottom) Nuts about U, Jelly and Extra Creamy. Extra Creamy is the only one in this row I don’t plan on using for myself. It’s way to light and very chalky.

   Over all it’s a great palette for a pretty reasonable price. I personally don’t think it smells like Peanut Butter but I still like the smell. It’ sweet and not over powering. Don’t forget to head over to my YouTube channel to see this tutorial in action.

   I think I’m going to go on a palette buying hiatus for a while and start focusing on single shadows and putting together my own palettes. Especially since MAC has lowered the price of their pro shadows to $6! So I plan on grabbing some of those as well as some from Makeup Geek. Can you suggest any more brands I should try?
