What I've Learned About Blogging

I started blogging about two years ago. At first it was something to do when I could squeeze in the time. Soon it became something I felt I needed to do. I’ve seriously been enjoying it and came up with a list of the things I’ve learned about blogging.

It may start out as just a hobby but you eventually get hooked. Your blog will consume you and you will think about it during your waking hours and creep into your dreams.

You don’t mind your blog taking over your life because you actually love it! In the beginning you really didn’t have any thoughts about it. It was a filler and now you love your blog and nurture it like it’s a baby. You change the design, make a logo and talk about it to anyone who will listen.

Because your blog started out as “something to do” you did it for you. Now you’ve got followers and actually care about your readers. You now want to make sure your content is something they will enjoy.

There is a whole blogging community out there full of people just like you. Which makes blogging a lot more fun and interactive.

Due to said community you end up making blogger friends. They may live in the same city as you, they may not. They may not even live in the same country as you but they are your friends nonetheless.

You will spend countless hours taking a crap load of pictures just to get the “One” for a blog post.

You actually feel guilty for not posting when you said you would. You meant to post four days last week but only did it three. No one else may have noticed but you did.

Even thou there are more blogs than ever these days people will still ask you “What’s a blog?” and you will give them a look of bewilderment.

You start using things like OOTD and #Blogger. Your none blogging friends will think you're lame.
