Book Review: Tim Gunn's Fashion Bible
Have you ever wondered about the backstory of your favorite
dress? How about who were the first people to wear jeans and why? Or where
designers get inspiration for their collections? Well Tim Gunn has done the legwork
for us. In his Book “Tim Gunn’s Fashion Bible” he tells us the history of
everything in our closets.
Tim Gunn's Fashion Bible: The Fascinating History of Everything in Your Closet
There are literally tons of fashion trivia in this book. I seriously geek out on stuff like this. For example: Capris were designed in 1948 by Sonja De Lennart and named them after her favorite vacation spot in Italy!
As a designer I love to have knowledge at my fingertips.
I absolutely loved this book and refer back to it quite often for inspiration. Tim Gunn has made quite the name for himself in the fashion industry. A lot of up and coming designers take his advice to heart and not just on Project Runway. I know I personally hang on his every word.
If you’re a designer or fashionista you’ll love Tim Gunn’s Fashion Bible.
I love this book, but then again Tim Gunn is amazing! So you know that pretty much anything he writes is gold, I mean the man knows his stuff, just look at his fabulous suits.

I agree. A man in a good suit is worth paying attention to.
